My Twitter account has been the best thing ever. Brian introduced me to twhirl which has allowed me to view people I'm following when they post rather than browsing to the twitter page to read through the items.I still sometimes go right to twitter because it's type in area is nicer due to recent improvements.
In the last day I've also learned about Blubrry for podcasting, hulu for watching free movies and tv 
shows, FriendFeed to compile social networking accounts, and someecards which are free ecards and totally for entertainment purposes - and you can of course also purchase paper cards too.
I'll post more as I begin to use these new web tools.
